Poona Club Golf Course wins India’s best course award at GIA meet

Pune: Pune’s own Poona Club Golf Course (PCGC) has won the best course in India award at the two-day national summit of the Golf Industry Association (GIA) held at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram earlier this month.

There was double delight for PCGC as its greenskeeper Hardhada won excellence in turf management award.

The two-day summit included business meets, technical conferences, exhibitions by industry-related companies and organisations and an annual awards ceremony,

Several companies showcased their latest offerings including well-known global brands

The GIA’s annual Golf & Turf Summit 2023 at the DLF Golf and Country Club was part of its continuing effort to share insights, network, discuss key challenges and opportunities, and inspire innovation and growth in the golf industry.

The GIA is a not-for-profit organisation to promote the game and related businesses. It was founded in 2011 to provide a platform for courses and vendors in the industry to grow the game at various levels including at the policy-making level.
