Anshuman Singh wins title in gold division

Pune: Anshuman Singh made hay when the going got tough scoring 39 points to win the gold Division trophy in the Panchshill Golf Championship at the Poona Club Golf Course here over the first April weekend.

Divesh Wadhwan had to settle with the runner-up trophy after having scored 36 points in the gold division, which comprised golfers in the 0 to 18 handicap categories.

The Silver division trophy went to Ranjit Batra, who logged 38 points. Ashish Bhandari, who also had a score of 38 had to settle for the runner-up trophy on countback scoring.

In the skills competition Rohan Shetty won the longest drive prize on the hole No.18 with his tee shot of 325 yards.

Silver Division (19-36 handicap category)

  1. Ranjit Batra 38 pts
