FemTech India Hosts a Power-packed all-women Roundtable in its Mumbai Edition

FemTech India, the nation’s first and largest platform for driving innovation and collaborations in the FemTech space, hosted an exclusive Panel discussion on Reproductive and Sexual Health with an all-women leaders-focused guest attendance. The event was hosted at Jolie’s, an exclusive members’ club, an aegis of the Aditya Birla Group Experience Centre.

The interactive discussion, which was graced by women founders, industry experts, professionals, and women’s health enthusiasts was headlined by an intense and insightful panel discussion.  Titled “Unlocking Hormones, Reproductive and Sexual Health”, the panel commenced with a short introduction by Navneet Kaur, Founder & CEO, of FemTech India, about the expanding and inevitable landscape of FemTech (short for Female Technology), in the healthcare space.

Navneet, who also envisioned the niche women-led event, remarked that “FemTech India was thrilled at the prospect of hosting its first-ever event in Mumbai. Convening this event dedicated to celebrating the intersection of women’s health, technology, and innovation, brings an incredible sense of positivity and power”.
The speaker panel witnessed three women founders leading the stage, who are making waves in the Female Sexual and Reproductive Wellness space. Rashmi Putcha – Founder, Innari, Karishma Chavan – Co-founder, Sassiest, Divya B Kamerkar – Co-founder, Pinky Promise shared their individual journeys, mission, and vision through their brands in the Women’s Wellness space, along with the role of FemTech in their customer service approach.

The event had a power-packed agenda and facilitated participants to have an insightful discussion on the evolving FemTech landscape. A networking session, to connect with femtech founders and enthusiasts, enabled the participants and the audience to discover how FemTech was reshaping the women’s health space.

This event comes on the heels of a string of events that FemTech India has been creating throughout the year. Earlier in September, FemTech India launched a first-of-its-kind coffee Table Book on FemTech which aimed to bring the spotlight into the FemTech ecosystem and landscape through market insights, expert perspectives, founder interviews, and industry projections. In a highly laudable effort, FemTech India, earlier this year, also pledged to commit 20% of profits to gender health equity through education and research, working to close the gender health gap.

Acknowledging the upcoming and inevitable healthcare segment of Female Technology and FemTech India’s contribution to the same, Navneet stated, “We have over 680 million women in India, and FemTech India’s end goal is to contribute towards the education, empowerment of all these women to enable them to make better choices in terms of their decisions on health and wellness. With a focus on empowerment and positive change, FemTech India encourages individuals and FemTech companies to

join the journey of driving innovation and making a real difference in the Indian industry and beyond, and to drive more funding into the ecosystem. We are happy that through events like these, we are able to foster the spirit of collaboration, networking, and innovation, focused on building a robust community for women’s health, and get an opportunity to support the ecosystem.”

On plans to expand the FemTech Ecosystem across the nation, Navneet shared, “Our community building endeavor and our focus does not lie in just Tier I cities. We have a line-up of initiatives on our agenda, and we are looking forward to covering geographies across the length and breadth of the country, including Tier II and Tier III cities soon”.
