The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) head of weather forecasting in Pune, Anupam Kashyapi, took to Twitter to announce significant weather developments for the state of Maharashtra.

According to Kashyapi’s tweet, the following rainfall patterns are anticipated in Maharashtra:
- Konkan-Goa (4th-7th September): Light to moderate rainfall, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, thunder, lightning, with isolated heavy rainfall.
- Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada (5th-7th September): Light to moderate rainfall, expected to continue.
- Vidarbha (4th-7th September): Light to moderate rainfall, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall.
Kashyapi emphasized the significance of this rainfall, highlighting its importance for farmers in the region. The much-needed precipitation is expected to benefit agricultural activities and mitigate the impact of the ongoing monsoon season.
