One Plus has a busy start to this year. It launched its flagship, the One Plus 10 Pro phone in China. This eventually launched in India, with another version like a One Plus 10 R and 10. Technology in India will also have to be settled for the last hurrah from the 9 series, which is the One Plus 9 RT.
This smartphone was launched in China in October 2021 and it’s only making its way to India now. After listening to the existing name, the question that arouses in the minds is. What is the 9 RT, and should I be careful about it?
If you are familiar with One Plus T, that – it’s a new phone One Plus 9R along with new features like:
· a new design and finishes,
· a better primary camera, and
· a faster SOC.
This was more expected since the bigger change will also come with the next new generation. What a surprise is the premium One Plus 9 Pro and 9 have not revealed any refresh. In any case, we have played along with the 9RT for many days, and here is what we think about it so far.
It comes in a red box along with the usual set of new accessories such as a case and a charger. It’s seen a company not blinding follow trends in the phone ditching and space in the charger. It claims that it has spent more time perfecting the look and feel of this phone and its appearance. The metal frame is more comfortable to hold and the smooth finish of the glass rear panel of the Black model that I have along with me feels very luxurious. There is a sheen to it when lights hit it and it does not seem to attract fingerprints. It is also available in Nano Silver.
