Pusalkar pair win Pune Festival Cup golf tournament

All the winners of the 18-hole competition of the Pune Festival Cup golf tournament with chief guests (Golf captain, Ikram Khan—centre (sky blue T-shirt).

Pune: Father-son pair of Rajiv and Aditya Pusalkar won the gold division trophy in the Pune Festival Cup Golf tournament played under green-some Stableford format over 18 holes. The duo 41 points—three more than the runner-up team of D C Sood and Girish Saini. Finishing second runners-up was the team comprising Neeraj Gulati and Bijay Lenka at the Poona Club Golf Course over the weekend playing despite pouring rain.

Senior Pusalkar , Rajiv is a Navy veteran and no Pune-based exporter, is a regular feature on the Amateur golfing circuit. He has a respectable handicap of 13, while his son has a handicap of 9, Which made TEAM Pusalkar a potent force for the trophy.

Sunil Singate won the nine-hole competition scoring 22 points

Gold  Division (handicap 0-14)

Winners: Rajiv Pusalkar and Aditya Pusalkar 41 points.

Runners up: D C Sood and Girish Saini 39 pts.

2nd runners up: Neeraj Gulati and Bijay Lenka 39 pts.

Silver Division (handicap 15-24)

Winners: Ankit Mishra and Akashdeep Koul 42 points.

Runners up: Tharesh Menon and Amar Parmar 42 pts.

2nd runners up: Daljeet Aurora and R G Bahaley 39 pts.
