Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment (250-750cc) continues to expand its retail footprint in Maharashtra. Royal Enfield’s retail network expansion is aimed at providing easier access to the brand with more sales and service touchpoints to motorcycling enthusiasts traversing in and around the respective region.
Commenting on the expansion of the dealership network, Pankaj Sharma, Head of Business Markets India, Royal Enfield said, “Pune has always been a key city for Royal Enfield in Maharashtra as our brand enjoys tremendous aspiration for our motorcycles amongst the young, cosmopolitan riding enthusiasts. With the picturesque landscape and the perfect terrain to ride through in and around Pune, leisure motorcycling has been a growing trend in the city. Given the ever growing interest for our brand and the presence of a very strong Royal Enfield community in the city, we are seeing strong demand in Pune post the lockdown. Our volumes are now close to pre-covid levels and we are also seeing a strong festive season in October, which is an extremely positive sign for us. The addition of a brand new store in Pune would definitely foster the spirit of motorcycling in and around the region. Our aim is to make the brand more accessible to the growing community of passionate riders and we are confident that our network expansion is a step towards serving our customers better.”
The latest dealership to open up is the M/S Nomadic Motor Bikes in Pune and will be primarily catering to the folks in and around Pimple Saudagar and Hinjewadi IT HUB. Customers can look forward to a truly world-class line up of products at the dealership – from some of the finest premium motorcycles to the extensive range of gear and apparel from Royal Enfield, it will truly be a treat to visit. In Pune, Royal Enfield has seen volumes growing by five times from May 2020 to September 2020. Despite being one of the most affected Covid cities, Pune is one of the fastest markets to bounce back in terms of demand, recovering to over 80% pre-covid volume levels.
Among the newly launched initiatives by the brand, customers can now bring home their favorite Royal Enfield motorcycle in a few simple steps – an online discovery of your favorite motorcycle on the Royal Enfield website can be followed by a home test ride and an online booking facility available on the website itself. Customers can go through the gallery of motorcycle variants and color options, choose genuine accessories to enhance the appeal and functionality of the motorcycle, and have a look at the kitted-up motorcycle before booking it online. The customer can then connect with the closest local dealer and complete payment formalities through e-payment options available across Royal Enfield dealerships and the motorcycle can be delivered at the customer’s doorstep.
With the inauguration of these stores, Royal Enfield now has 124 stores that include 94 dealerships and 30 studio stores in Maharashtra thereby further expanding its presence in the state.
