St Ursula dominates in basketball; Infant Jesus clinches football title

Pune: Hosts St Ursula High School and Infant Jesus High School clinched respective titles at the SUEXSA Rolling Trophy, organised by St Ursula Ex-Students Association (SUEXSA) at their school ground on Monday, January 29.

In the football final, Infant Jesus High School defeated St Ursula High School 2-1. Earlier in the semifinals, St Ursula beat Amrita Vidyalayam 1-0 while Infant Jesus High School beat Novel International School 3-1 in the penalties after the score was 0-0 at full time.

In the boys’ basketball final, St Ursula High School defeated rivals Kamalnayan Bajaj 42-23 to walk home with the title. Krishna (16) and Pradyumna (15) were the top scorers for St Ursula. For Kamalnayan Bajaj, Dhruv scored 16 points.

In the semifinal action, St Ursula beat Infant Jesus 20-12 while Kamalnayan Bajaj beat City Pride, Moshi 18-11.

In the girls’ basketball final, St Ursula High School got past Kamalnayan Bajaj School 19-11. Akansha (7), Anvita (4), Yuvika (4), Snighadha (4) scored for the hosts.

In the semifinal fixtures, Kamalnayan Bajaj beat Infant Jesus 11-2 while St Ursula High School beat City Pride, Moshi 20-8.

Sr. Gracy – Principal,  Sr. Lily – Headmistress Primary and Shekhar Kokane from SUEXSA gave away the prizes.
