Pune: St Ursula High School girls put up a splendid and dominating performance when they defeated Pune Gramin 18-14 to clinch the first place at the Netball Under-19 Zonals.
For the Ursulines, the Goal Shooter was Gayatri Chaudhari (5) while the Goal Attacker Sanskruti Patil (13) displayed a good game.
In the semi-finals, St Ursula defeated Nagar Gramin with the score of 15-12 to make it to the finals. The Goal Shooter was Gayatri Chaudhari (10) while the Goal Attacker was Sanskruti Patil (5).
Earlier in the quarterfinals, the Ursulines got the better of Pune City with the score reading 18-13.
St Ursula High School has now qualified for the State level tournament.
Meanwhile, in the basketball zonal action, St Ursula Under-19 girls secured the second place.
