Pune: Star Air, a leading domestic airline, on Wednesday expanded its network with the introduction of Pune as their newest destination. On July 26 Star Air connected Bengaluru (BLR) & Hyderabad (HYD) to Pune (PNQ) with convenient and reliable flights, offering passengers an enhanced travel experience.
With the introduction of this new destination, Star Air becomes the only airline to offer Business Class on the Hyderabad-Pune sector.
As a regional airline dedicated to connecting Real India, our mission is to provide seamless connectivity and exceptional services to our valued passengers. With the addition of Pune, our network now spans across 18 destinations, enabling us to serve more travellers and connect communities across the country,” said Capt. Simran Singh Tiwana, CEO of Star Air.
“Pune the cultural capital of Maharashtra with a rich history, diverse cuisine, and numerous attractions. We are excited to connect travellers from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Pune, opening new opportunities for business, leisure, and exploration. Whether it is experiencing the city’s cultural heritage, exploring its natural beauty, or engaging in its thriving business scene, Pune has something to offer to every traveller,” founder Chairman of Star Air, Mr. Sanjay Ghodawat, observed.
Even though a few airlines had to fold up its operations due to escalating costs, Mr. Sanjay Ghodawat said he was confident of making his venture a profit-making business.
Unlike most other airlines the entire fleet of Star Air has been bought outrightly. No aircraft in the fleet is on lease basis.
“Since none of our aircrafts are on lease, we save on cost.
Star Air has opted for a Brazilian jet manufacturer—Embraer of different sizes to cater to the respective sector it would serve. One of the unique features of its fleet is that there are no middle seats. It is either a window or aisle seat.
