Pune: Tanay Maheshwari of Dhruv Global School, Susgaon won the gold medal in boys under-7 category in chess, while Shivansh Mahajan of Educon international school, Baner settled for the silver medal. His schoolmate, Bonsikrishna Sahu had to satisfy himself with the bronze medal.
Meanwile in in athletics track events that began on the Day 4 of the SFA Championships, Avaneeesh Mule of Sarhad school, Katraj ran a brilliant race to win the 200m gold medal, in the Boys Under-16 category. Avneesh finished marginally ahead of Avinash Londhe of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Southern Command. Finishing third to win the bronze medal was Atharv Shinde of SVCS High School
In The 400m run of the Girls under-16 category, Ingrid Manuel of St. Joseph High School won the gold medal ahead of Bhumika Sachin Mutyalu. Vaishnavi Enanganti of Lokseva e-school, Pashan settled for the bronze medal.
